Rare hand coloured engraving of Utrecht with old hand colouring.
Daniel Meisner (1585–1625) and Eberhard Kieser (1583–1631) were a prominent 17th-century German creative duo known for publishing the Thesaurus Philo-Politicus. Also known as the Politisches Schatzkästlein (Political Treasure Box), this highly celebrated work was published in Frankfurt am Main between 1623 and 1631. It uniquely combines elements of an emblem book with detailed panoramic town and city views (vedute) from across Europe and the world.
