Lithographic poster. Third state. with the racing dog in a triangle on the top left.
This version is the third state of three editions identified by a greyhound in the upper left triangle above a sign reading "On to Wembley".
In the first edition (1914) this triangle features houses, and in the second edition (1924) is replaced by a Lion.
In 1913 the commercial director of the London Underground ( Frank Pick ) commissioned a series of distinctive posters to make the London Underground more attractive to travel on.
The Wonderground map proved so popular it was sold to the public.
