Frederick De Wit (1630 - 1706 )
Following his death in 1706 De Wits wife continued to run the business but after four years it went into liquidation. The plates were bought by an enterprising publisher Pieter Mortier who was latter joined by Jean Covens. Together there company became one of the one of the biggest publishers of maps and atlases in the early eighteenth century.
