Thomas Badeslade was an English topographical draughtsman, who worked extensively with the engraver W. H. Toms.
In 1741, Badeslade worked with W. H. Toms on "Chorographia Britanniae or a New Set of Maps of all the Counties in England and Wales".
When the first edition of Thomas Badeslade’s map book, ‘Chorographia Britanniae‘ came out in 1741 it could claim to be the first in pocket book format.
The maps were republished on 29 September 1742, with additional place names.
This example is from the 1742 edition.
