Joseph Wilson Lowry(1803–1879) was a British engraver.
He engraved plates for theEncyclopædia Metropolitanaand for SirJohn Rennie, a series of drawings for London Bridge. Other work includedJohn Phillips'sGeology of Yorkshire, 1835 andScott Russell'sNaval Architecture, 1865,John Weale's 'Scientific Series' and the journals of theInstitution of Naval Architectsand theRoyal Geographical Society. He later was appointed engraver to theGeological Survey of Great Britain and Ireland.
He also engraved maps for Cassell's "Weekly Despatch Atlas", from where this map was taken.
